ABOUT

HELEN Kluck

Helen has always been creative, and after supporting the farm for years in the office, this Agricultural lady decided she needed to express her creativity through her work.

Not being able to eat the product (wheat) produced on the property, but with a love of sewing, the Wheat Packs came about.  An inherited sewing machine, an overlocker, bought corduroy cotton fabric and some wheat from the silo… and off her journey began, very soon family and friends were putting in their orders, and so became Carpendale Creative!

Did you know…

Helen grew up on a dairy farm – but she’d happily swap milking cows for a visit to Grandma’s next door, where there was always some kind of craft project on the go. Helping out (or just watching) sparked her lifelong love of making things by hand… and let’s be honest, it beat the smell of the milking shed any day! These days, she much prefers the wide-open spaces of grain farming to the intensity of dairy life.

Creativity has always been at the heart of everything she does – which is why she became a qualified hairdresser straight out of school. (Yep, hairdresser by trade!)

While most people pack a book for a weekend away, Helen’s bag is full of fabric, thread and half-finished projects – always ready to squeeze in a bit of sewing and craft wherever she goes.

THE WHEAT PACKS

The Wheat Packs are made and produced on the property Carpendale near Goondiwindi in Queensland, Australia. They are designed, created and sewn by Helen!

THE USES OF WHEAT packs

Our Hand Made Australian Wheat Packs can be used either warm/hot, in the microwave or frozen cool/cold, in the freezer.

Hot therapy heat packs assist with both relaxation and pain management and provide relief for muscle pain and stiffness in joints. Heat therapy increases your circulation which in with appropriate stretching exercises, helps improve or optimise your flexibility and your joints’ range of motion.

For abdominal and soft tissue pain, heat stimulates the nervous system and this “overrides” the message of pain naturally. Heat also increases blood circulation, thereby decreasing pain as well.

Cool Therapy is best in the first 48 hours after an injury. Generally a fresh injuries become swollen and inflamed and cool therapy will decrease the blood flow to the injury, decreasing swelling and inflamation. Possibly decreasing recovery injury time.
